As a second initiative of the newly founded boutique production company tucnak.art, documentary filmmaker Radek Ševčík
launched festival distribution services and is now building the first slate of films to accompany to international festivals.
We warmly invite emerging producers and filmmakers to reach out – let’s meet on Zoom or over coffee.
tucnak.art is a friendly, pro-active place to strategize your global voyage through film festivals. We are open to all formats, from every corner of the world. We are looking for a fresh approach to universally relevant topics. As a boutique initiative, we intentionally limit ourselves to just a few titles each year, so every film receives full attention and personal care.

What makes tucnak.art special is our filmmaking background and deep understanding of the creative process, particularly in development and post-production. That’s why we offer dramaturgical and editing consultancy, creative dossiers, and deliverables production. We also support filmmakers with all film-related texts, from loglines and synopses to press kits. Our in-house editor also ensures we can deliver professional trailers tailored to each film’s festival strategy.
We will take care of:
– Tailor-made festival strategy (based on your wishes, and expectations)
– Festival distribution services: submissions, logistics, communication with festivals, negotiating screening fees
– Editing consultancy (from rough cut stage onward)
– Additional services: trailer editing, press kit preparation, distribution texts, poster design
When to drop us an email:
Whenever you feel ready to talk about your festival route. We recommend getting in touch in the rough cut stage – that’s when we can bring the most value to your editing and and help craft a strategic plan for the right festival premiere.

I have always been close to film festivals. As a child, I grew up with the children’s programmes at my small hometown film festival. Later, I helped a few festivals with programming and moderating Q&As, and eventually attended some as the director of my own films. I also studied film studies for a while, where I explored how festivals shape their taste.
The world today is flooded with content. That is why, as a filmmaker, I find it crucial that valuable films do not get lost in the noise but find their way to audiences. This is why I want to dedicate my energy – alongside my own creative work – to helping other filmmakers ensure their films receive the attention they deserve.
A memory that still resonates with me is from the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, where I went to see Juráček’s Case for a Rookie Hangman and laughed together with a theatre full of Taiwanese viewers at the line, “that’s what I think, an ordinary woman.” My favourite director, Naomi Kawase, has beautifully expressed the value of cross-cultural sharing — something I cherish most about festivals. I believe this is a space where I can make a meaningful contribution.
