synopsis:
In 1941, Leo Kowal, a Slovak Nazi, was sent to a concentration camp for having sex with a male colleague. Through personal letters, transcripts of Gestapo interrogations, digital reimaginations, and a parodic adaptation of an SS handbook on the persecution of homosexuality, a young gay filmmaker reconstructs Kowal’s story and asks what it means to inherit such documents filled with descriptions of sexual encounters, which were the real reason for the persecution of tens of thousands of people.
